2-4 Weeks Before the Move

Start making an inventory of what you want to actually move.

This inventory will give you an idea about the goods which you actually want to move and the goods which you might find useless in the new house.

You can either choose to give this redundant stuff to the charity or sell it off by organizing a garage sale.

It is always better to get your kids involved the processes of moving. This is the ideal time to do that. Explain and discuss with them about the imminent move. Make them contribute to the entire process. This will in turn help them to manage the psychological stress of moving to a new location.
